Hi Ruyang -

I tried to think about how to make the gui for ndi.pipeline.edit a little more intuitive.

I changed the buttons to be symbols.

Could you please

a) Make the window only about half its height by shrinking the height of the list of calculators
b) Make the list a uitable with the following entries: calculator, I, and O (I is short for number of inputs, O is short for number of outputs). Initially you can leave the I and O blank. Add a new button called refresh that will run code to count the number of input and output documents for the calculator (I can fill in that code).
c) Move the buttons that operate on the pipelines to be just below the popup menu for the pipelines (see drawing)
d) Move the buttons that operate on calculators to the bottom of the former list/ uitable

I added "tips" that appear when you hover over the buttons that describe a little more thoroughly what action is done.

Here's the pipeline editor as it currently stands (with some edits):

Here's a sketch with the new arrangement (except not the table);

Thanks!
Steve
