The current browser displays all annotation labels at a certain zoom level, which the user can specify. At some zoom levels no labels are displayed at all and at some, there are overlapping labels. Ideally more labels could be displayed when the annotations are sparse and fewer could be displayed at high density, or the display of labels or annotations could be spread out vertically.

Some more feedback about the annotation features from Ben Hitz: in general the annotation features fade out too quickly and they should be displayed at more zoom levels. This might cause more overlapping issues. Would clustering the labels help? Or using a force layout??
