Nextcloud Journal app

I just noticed a Journals app for Nextcloud that uses webdav and syncs with JTX. It's in alpha but looks promising. Hopefully this will be a Web interface for JTX tasks and journals. Are you aware of it?

I wasn't aware of it! I just installed it, it still seems to be at a very early stage, I can only see the interface with the button, but the button doesn't react. I guess this still needs some time to be ready - and hopefully the developer will continue!

Just tried it again and it now seems to be working on my Nextcloud - albeit still very much alpha state... (previously it was giving a blank screen but I did a NC update in the meantime)

I spent quiet some time looking for a possibility to sync journal type calendars between jty Board and nextcloud, and the aforementioned Journals App acutally works using DAVx5 on Android. However, a web interface in the Journals App itself has not been implemented yet.
What I did:

• install Journals App in nextcloud
• connect DAVx5 with nextcloud
• in DAVx5 create a new calendar with type journal

After synchronizing DAVx5 and jtx Board, the newly created calendar shows up in jtx Board as Collection that can be used to sync tasks and journals between devices. I hope this helps anyone also trying to get this to work!

To make a collection that supports VJOURNAL, you don't need to do this workaround with Nextcloud, you can create a new remote connection with VJOURNAL support directly in DAVx5 😉
