🥲 Me too. I cannot use Tampermonkey on Kiwi Browser. There is some problem that causes tampermonkey to be disabled. |
Sounds about right. But 5.1.1 works fine for me. For whatever reason after side loading it again it stopped auto updating. I thought sideloaded extensions aren't supposed to do that in the first place. Seems like a bug in the extension causing this behavior. |
Duplicate of #2055 (comment) I can't do anything to mitigate this because Kiwi claims to support the new userScripts API (by its version number), but does not. That's why Tampermonkey is updated to the MV3 version by Kiwi. |
You have to install Tampermonkey Legacy and not version 5.1.1 of the regular Tampermonkey extension, because it will always auto update because of Kiwi version number. |

I've noticed right now that my tamper monkey add on kiwi browser opened up a new tab notifying me about release notes (which I also do not like, updating in the background without notifying me would have been ideal). Thinking I may have it accidentally installed the add-on from the Chrome store I reinstalled it from a CRX file and it did it again. This new 5.3.1 version has an annoying pop up every time I start it asking me to enable developer mode even though I already did. How can I turn off auto updates so I don't have to deal with these two issues that bother me?
