This could be related to npm v7. I'm using npm v6 (6.14.11), npm ci works fine on my machine.

Hello @benjaminkott,

Neither I nor my colleagues were able to reproduce this issue. Also the CI Server ( node v14.17.6 & npm 6.14.15) can execute npm ci (https://github.com/TYPO3GmbH/ext-mediamanager/runs/3567382593)

So I think it is somehow related to your npm version, too. In the meantime npm7 has received some fixes so maybe this issue is outdated. Could you check that again, please?

In general I would recommend using the Node Version Manager (nvm) to manage your node installations.
