We plan to fork react-sortable-tree and maintain it on our own for the time being, as refactoring the application to work with a different library will be very time consuming.

The library has been forked: https://github.com/StanfordBDHG/react-sortable-tree. We will continue to maintain it there for the time being. Will close this issue.
