@Cmkcmk77 - Unfortunately although donations were still open on December 18th, Round 8 had officially ended a day earlier. Sorry but I think you are not going to be included in this case.

This is not easy to understand, yes, i saw gitcoin announcement but how can we donate to something that ends. Can you see the screenshot. The donated place is gitcoinround8. This donate process was after 17th. But how did we donate after the round8 ended? This is not a clear event. Confusing.

@Cmkcmk77 - you donated to the Gitcoin project itself - donations were open even after Grants Round 8.
Grants were special because every donation that people made was matched by investors.

For StakeDAO the eligible people had do donate before end of GR8 (<December 18). Sorry...

I do agree with you that a certain timestamp should have been put to avoid any confusion.
But in the same time, the timeline for GR8 was public and shown during that time.

Donations are ALWAYS open on Gitcoin, that is what the project is about. Even right now anyone can donate to various projects. However, the Grant Rounds are different and happen every quarter. Hope this helps clear up some confusion.

And I suggest waiting for a more official answer. This is just my theory anyway. The Airdrop is yet to happen and no timeline as of yet.
