STARsolo has a possible issue with counting junction reads for each cell barcode (alexdobin/STAR#2096). Try regtools with -b option after UMI deduplication by UMI-tools.

RegTools also has issues on junction read counting as reported here. I am going to replace regtools with Tosa in a future version of Shiba and scShiba.
