MacOS: Spotify-VSCode extension not working even w/ Premium Membership

Hi there, I'm still getting this error after having a premium plan on Spotify, AND, the Spotify app is also open while VSCode is open as well. This might be a dumb question, but is there a way to enable this feature without having to open Spotify? (Just thinking that might defeat the purpose of this extension if you also have to have Spotify open at the same time.)

I'm running MacOS: Big Sur 11.1

Curious maybe I've missed something as from my installation?

Hi can you try to sign out from spotify in VsCode and sign in again?

Yes, I tried your suggestion, and that also did not complete the connection with the extension. :(
