This BIOS setting always switches from Disabled to Enabled on boot. I just noticed this with one of the recent configs, but it may have been happening before. Not sure what this may be due to. I have been using the iMac20,2_iGPU with display output with 5700XT config. I've added my hardware below, if this may be the issue...

I have a feeling this may have been occurring earlier, because of what I try to explain next. Since I upgraded to the 5700XT from the RX 580 a while back, initially I have no video until Windows has fully booted (just blindly booting) with my current video setup below. This was not true with the RX 580 with the same video setup. I have to reset the computer a couple times to get video to work and to show when in BIOS. However, the resolution is not correct in BIOS. I've tried all the DP ports on the GPU and I get the same result. If I move my computer over to the TV and use the GPU HDMI out, the video shows up immediately and the resolution much better. From what I can remember, CSM Support did not change to Enabled with the RX 580. Is CSM Support required for this video configuration? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you change your BIOS settings a lot? I noticed that sometimes some settings change. Especially when I load profiles. But normally it shouldn't switch settings by itself. And I think the boot loader is loaded after you have passed the initial BIOS initialisation, so I don't think that the Bootloader config is even able to influence that.

The only thing I could explain: If your BIOS has issues with your RAM settings or a combination of RAM/CPU settings, it loads the default settings after a couple of attempts.

So you should try to load default settings and then just apply all the changes you need for Hackintosh, no RAM or CPU OC.

So I tried to do both of these and the issues remain. I think its isolated to the TB3 config for the 5700 XT. I reinstalled the RX 580 and again saw the correct video resolution in BIOS, no issues with with video out at all, and CSM Support did not change. Also, I tried HDMI to my TV with both GPUs and everything works great - correct resolution, video shows immediately, no change in CSM Support. So like I said, isolated to the TB3 config for 5700 XT.

I tried flashing VBIOS, re-flashing BIOS to F6, and clearing CMOS. Still, I get the same results.

I just sent a tech request to Gigabyte and hopefully they'll get back to me with some answers...

Chris, or anyone else, if you have more suggestions in the meantime please let me know. Thanks!

Reason I don't just use the RX 580 is because it's now in my girlfriends computer

Ah. I overlooked the point about the TB3. Haven't done something like this yet.

Have you tried just keeping CSM enabled?
