Fan readings incorrect after suspend #26
Comments
I have the same issue, on a different board (Gigabyte Vision G). Reported this issue here: acidanthera/bugtracker#994 |
@miip Are you using FakeSMC? For how many and which Fan Headers do you get Fan speed readings? I am evaluating switching to FakeSMC but only if all and not only some Fan speeds are read out. |
I am using VirtualSMC. I got a total of 4 fans connected, 1 CPU fan and 3 case fans. The first 3 fan speeds are glitching, i guess these are the CPU fan and the first 2 case fans but i am not sure, could also be the case fans and the cpu fan works. I never thought of testing this, will do tomorrow. |
I am tracking the issue in the github issue link I posted earlier. It looks like we're gonna need a datasheet for the IT8688E chip to know exactly what needs to be done to fix the problem. @SchmockLord Have you been able to test whether it works (even after deep sleep/wake) on FakeSMC.kext? |
I got this weird issue. The fan readings for two of the fans (i got 3 installed) are displayed incorrectly, but only after MacOS was suspended. After a reboot the reading are correct. Can anyone replicate this or has a solution?
