It would be nice to have a option , were u can set the map to a certain time, and start and show the measurement from that point again, with a clean map (excluding the old measurements), and starting with the measurement points on that point of Time on.

The Tile map current state is to measure the current radiation lvl without any new Event,
if i understand @seanbonner right, to make a map wich shows what was before and how the Event impacted on it. Actual i miss exactly this feature to see that, cuz in the way of the Tile map to adjust the measuring with every new measurement, is in that case not very usefull.

Let me explain:

As the measurements in Fukoshima started after the Event, this can happen everytime everywere on earth, and i think for myself working with the current map, finding out were i wasnt bevore and were to move next, it would be very difficult to measure.

if something happens again, and special if u cant see were u were before since that day, cuz the old Data is around u, and also the old data is mixing into the new catastrophic data measurements..

As i noticed the first 10 measurement Effect with the Drive app, i see how old and new Data can intertwine in a way wich may show not the new and real data, cuz its contstantly mixing into the first data, block... (the old Data ghosting, into the new, or the new into the old) call it Datapoisoning.

so with the current state, in case of a new event, u have to do alot more of measurements, to override (call it overmix) the old data, with "higher and newer lvls" or in case of Fukoshima, override the higher Data, with newer lower data measurements.

so an option, to show actual Radiation lvl from a certain Date, to actual Date only would be a very nice, addon! special if u have to remeasure the whole thing again, after an Event we all hope dont will happen... Actualy the Map only shows all measurements and how the Map grows, wich is ok if u want to do a survey of the hole World map.

i think this option will also be very usefull, to find out how did it look in the year XXXX and how is it looking today based on the newst measurements only, from a certain point of time.

and gives the map a huge new analytic option, i think the Tile Map is a great Tool, but the Factor Time and the amount of measurings wich adjust into each other, can also misslead the interpretation of the current state map...

As simple example, if i have 1000 measurings with, 0.020 mS and the new actual measurment after the new event, is counting in with lets say 1S, it will appear into the map as 1S/50000 and nearly vanisch, until u get more and more measurements with the new higher account, and the new current data is taking slowly over..

i think the new realtime Sensors, take a part into this, so u can look is the actual radiation coresponding to the old data...

what brought me into this, 3 things

  1. i cant see when a measurement Point was taken, is it an old measurment or a new
  2. the 10 point radiation starting blib on the drive ap
  3. road crossings like this, were a dark blue line meets with a skyblue line http://safecast.org/tilemap/?y=52.556&x=11.429&z=10&l=0&m=2 (i know the lvl is not high, but humans are very focused into optical effects and see problems in that way better then in massgraves of data) i can expect the dark blue is the older measurement, but i can also expect one of the devices have an defect or is contaminated for some reason, in the end i have no Fact, and cant see when wich point was taken, and not from who to ask him, the only way is to drive there an remeasure the hole thing, with another device. here annother crossing of the same way on annother position also a dark blue meets with a skyblue http://safecast.org/tilemap/?y=51.607&x=12.274&z=11&l=0&m=2

if i oversaw an option in the tile map were u can set this allready,
i beg ur pardon, for ur time to understand my very bad english
