Can't wait to use more AI tools for video production like scene detection, auto captioning, auto colour correction, audio mastering, edit via script, image generation as b-roll, scripting. Just don't ask it to do math 🤣 Thanks @wicksipedia for the hilarious demo. |

Interesting technology but too much too soon for me, given all the ethical and societal problems they've ignored and/or externalized. Are its days numbered in Europe already? https://www.technologyreview.com/2023/04/19/1071789/openais-hunger-for-data-is-coming-back-to-bite-it/ |

As a software dev give a response to this weeks ChatGPT discussion, give some pros and cons about AI, respond in a smart business, but casual Australian tone, maximum 40 word response: "G'day mate, AI has its fair dinkum pros, like increased efficiency and accuracy, but we can't ignore the cons like potential job displacement and ethical concerns. As a savvy business, it's important to weigh the benefits against the risks and implement AI responsibly." less casual Artificial Intelligence presents significant advantages, such as automation of routine tasks, improved decision-making, and faster problem-solving. However, we must also consider the potential drawbacks, including job loss and ethical dilemmas. As responsible developers, it is crucial to assess the risks and benefits and implement AI in a way that balances innovation with ethical and social considerations. |

I love the potential of things like ChatGPT to take away the mundane tasks. The cheat sheet is a pretty good guide to get going with. |

Prompt engineering is the most important part of getting good use out of GPT so this cheat sheet is a good start :) |

I thought the cheat sheet was good and I did learn a couple of new things. I would like to see a more comprehensive cheat sheet covering more examples though. I've been playing a bit with Bing Chat vs Chat GPT. Even though Bing Chat is based on GPT-4, I've found Chat GPT to be WAY better for coding related problems. I'm optimistic that GitHub Copilot-X is going to be even better again! |

I like it. I've just found that it's seldom able to help with specific tasks, which as a developer is what I'm usually doing. I would caution against handwaving questions received by other employees with "Have you asked ChatGPT" as it's de-personalising and usually ends up wasting both the asker and answerer's time due to ChatGPT's specificity issues. |

ChatGPT is fun to play with, but for my day to day generating code in large codebases, they would require way too many tokens than are feasible at the moment. Hence, I find myself not using it for code (although GitHub Copilot I use all day everyday) It however, is awesome for soft skill & writing language content. |

Love the Cheat-sheet! It's simple, and not overly complicated. I think SSW should create a more technical detailed version. Soon this knowledge will be second nature to everyone, and it would be great to have a v2 ready to go, considering how fast the industry is moving. I love that SSW is so invested in the latest tech! Especially something as monumental as AI. |

I'm only using ChatGPT a little at the moment, but I'm keen to start using it more - this cheat sheet will definitely help me with that. |

I like to check my writing with GhatGPT to see if it's written correctly, especially when I am feeling a bit under the weather. |

Thank you for sharing this informative discussion on ChatGPT. As a language model trained by OpenAI, ChatGPT has numerous applications, including language translation, content generation, and conversational AI. I appreciate the efforts made by SSW Consulting to create comprehensive rules and guidelines for software development best practices. These rules can be a valuable resource for developers to refer to when working on projects. I agree that GitHub Discussions is a better platform for team discussions compared to email, as it provides a centralized location for team members to collaborate and share their thoughts, ideas, and feedback on various topics related to software development. 🤖⭐ |

Whilst ChatGPT is extremely useful to automate the mundane, will it completely drain future generations of the ability to think and create by themselves? |

I am a huge fan of ChatGPT and find it really useful. Structuring a prompt (Roles, Result, Context, Intent, Constraint) has really refined my searches. Love this cheat sheet! |

I find ChatGPT help me on both my work life (coding, suggesting new solutions, re-writing summaries) and my personal life (creating recipes, working to create a RPG campaign, questioning various topics of interest). I really look forward to seeing what more it can do, now with 4o release of voice, sensing tone and generating pictures from pictures. |

ChatGPT has been such a powerful tool to have access to for work / uni / other commitments. The increase in productivity it facilitates by helping you troubleshoot code, learn concepts and produce material more efficiently is great. |

I find that ChatGPT is a strong tool in idea generation and overcoming hurdles with marketing - especially with writing copy for social media etc. This cheatsheet optimises that process further to get better answers sooner. |

I've somewhat resisted ChatGPT for coding etc., however since joining SSW have embraced and found its utility. I found during this exercise being more explicit with the answer you want does improve the results considerably. |

AI has totally changed the game for non-devs (like me) wanting to get into programming. Tools like gpt-4o (as they are TODAY) have a huge impact on my day-to-day tasks. |

I think ChatGPT is a very strong tool to complete my work more rapidly. However, the result comes out of it will still be processed by human like me but it is truely a great improvement cause most part or its work is great! |

I learned that effectively using AI like ChatGPT isn't just about asking questions, but about crafting smart, structured prompts. The article showed me techniques like giving the AI a specific role, setting clear context, and specifying the tone and format I want in responses. I now understand I can make my interactions more precise by breaking down prompts into components like result, intent, and constraints, and by chaining my questions to build more nuanced conversations. 🤖⭐️ |

I found it extremely useful for generating Excel functions, especially when I specify the input and output cells and explain what I want to achieve, ChatGPT then generates a function that can be used directly in Excel, saving me much more time than searching for solutions online. |

I generally enjoy being more creative in my writing, but that sometimes means my emails come across as less formal. I use ChatGPT to help strike a balance, so that my ideas are clear while maintaining a professional tone 🤖 However I often find I then have to go back to edit and rewrite it anyways. So any prompts I can use to make ChatGPT keep my personality the better and I've noticed I can reduce some of the ChatGPTyness by indicating my role and giving the prompt to "respond more like me." |
