Isn't it good to see, that the item was created in the beginning as an ingest by "System importer"? I agree, that this is not well communicated to the outside, but hidding this information could also give wrong ideas about the background of the creation of an item. If in the mentioned example "Laure Barbot" and "Kevin Roger" only did minor changes, it could be wrong read that those both are the main creators of the item whereas in reality it is mainly based on an ingest. |
Good point, how would we communicate this? |
my 2 cents on this one:
My suggestion would be to group this information about contributors to the item with the history/versions of the item and to rethink the history screen (that presents other challenges/bugs). On the detail view we could keep something like a button/link "discover who curated/contributed to this MP item" or alike and leading to the history of the item in the MP, offering more details. In the meantime, I changed the assignee of this issue, as there is nothing to implement yet. |
optionally (Klaus suggestion): rephrase "information contributor" |
Current: All accounts are shown in the information contributor field
Expected: System and curation accounts should be hidden
Suggestion: Hide "System moderator" and "System importer"
