the TG Station rebase is so horrible, it changes so much and makes so many things more painfully difficult and more difficult than they need to be, and it introduces so many new bugs that will need fixing so much, and it is just horrible over all, if you really plan on moving to rebase then don't move entirely, instead take some of the more liked features of the rebase and shift them into the old version, that way things people hate won't be taken in, and you wont have to deal with as many bugs that are already public.
an example of whats wrong with the rebase aside from bugs is the removal of Virologist: in the OG version, virology is a stand alone role that people would take, it's seperated from doctors because virology has an entirely different mechanic to regular medical, but in the rebase there is no more seperation in the roles, a doctor is now a virologist by force, meaning that virology not only takes up a slot where a doctor can be, but a doctor takes up a slot where virology can be.
another example: Player-Player healing has been massively nerfed by making it so much slower, meaning people are dying much more frequently and doctors are struggling to get them back before they get pissy because you can only heal once every second it feels like.
and because third times the charm: this time a bug: miners can only mine in lavaland from what it seems. in the one map where there is a place where miners can mine in not lavaland, with lavaland beneath it, miners can break the ore rocks yet the ores will not drop forcing miners to go to the third floor to mine (lavaland) where the new lighting system has made it much harder because you can't see whats behind you, meaning a goliath could sneak up behind you and start attacking you, and because you were presumably mining you won't even notice the tentacles coming up below you because you didn't see any goliaths nearby

Sadly our old codebase is unmaintainable due to the sheer lack of updates from tg and the fact that auxmos has stopped support for it. It's not about features, it's about the fact that our old code is basically obsolete, which is not something we can fix by just porting some stuff
If you find any issues with the rebase, make suggestions and issues there instead for us to take care of
ah, alright then, my apologies, i didn't realize it was because of that, i've not really heard much of the reasons i mostly just assumed it was simply to be more modern or something, well if thats the case, i've got really just one suggestion tbh, try make things more similar to OG with the new rebase, of course as said keep things people like, but maybe try make things more similar to the old atleast for now so the swap won't be too much for most people
