Should we do something more professional for supporting the "community" building aspects then GitHub? Like an actual "Community Platform" service? #53

With the RC web presence overhaul, we make a big deal about supporting and growing communities. We DO NOT want to reinvent social media wheels or solutions that are already out there. However, are we better @philipbaileynar and @MattReimer to invest in a service that allows us to bake this into our riverscapes.net site and experience?
I'm thinking something like hiverbrite or one these Community Platform services. Thoughts?
