as it is right now hard to tell which patch in a region you need to move to to be able to move outside the region. Maybe the region connection lines should continue all the way to the patches they actually connect?

Previously I discussed this with @Kemikal1, he said that when ocean regions ajacent, all depths are connected. This makes multiple parallel lines.

I was thinking that there still would be one line between the regions, but each patch would draw a line to where the region line connects, a very quick mockup:

That can also get really busy with a lot of connections, but that's the best idea I've got.

I was messing around a little bit with that issue and got results that look like that but I don't know whether I like it or not. In some places it looks quite fine but in others it can get a little bit too crowded

Maybe if the color was little bit darker for these connections it would look better because otherwise it gets mixed up with the internal connections between patches. We could also make the distances between the patches' icons bigger
