GDPR Compliance for Servers

All servers that utilize this service must comply with the GDPR (Regulation 2016/679)

To comply with this requirement, you must:

  • Allow automatically issued punishments to be appealed and reviewed by a human
  • Erase records when no longer needed (what qualifies as "needed" varies by server, but in general don't keep records that aren't actually used or considered anymore)
  • Erase ANY record that contains personally identifiable information such as an address or phone number
  • Modify any incorrect records when requested
  • Notify server members of the presence of this service, and provide a link to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  • Provide records of punishment upon request (moderator information may be redacted)

Failure to follow these rules may result in your loss of privileges to use the service.

End Users

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of your moderation history
  • Request a human review of an automatically issued punishment
  • Request that an incorrect moderation log be updated
  • Request that a log containing personally identifiable information (e.g addresses and phone numbers) be deleted*

To exercise these rights, contact server staff.

*For the purposes of moderation, snowflakes (user ids) are not considered personally identifiable information.
