Feature description

I'd like to suggest a way to disable DASH so that the whole video gets downloaded.

Alternatively it would be nice if one could set custom buffer e.g. instead of only 30s be able to chose 1m or 2m or 5m or 10m.

Motivation

Currently I have to commute quite a bit by train and in some areas the mobile internet is wonky. This causes YT to stop the playback as it only buffers around 30s. It used to be so that YT will download the full video but with the introduction of DASH this has changed. Both of the proposed changes would alleviate the issue of wonky mobile internet.
