Hello,
My issue is dumb : when I click "Select tidal current data" button to provide the flder containing the right files, the dialog seems locked in a sandbox or a hidden database.
I was unable to locate the said directory, so I guess this is a really well hidden one or a database and I don't know how to access it. Tried extracting it with adb, looking for it on my computer to manually set the directory without success as I am a skill issue with phone things.
After a quick look at the code, I could not find where the faulty path were and all I could find was hardcoded okay paths (/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.opencpn.opencpn/files/tcdata) which confused me even more.
My only workaround for now is manually typing the desired directory in the input field but it resets after restarting OpenCPN.
Thanks in advance for your time.

What OS? What version of OpenCPN? Please.

Sorry, I forgor.
This is a Galaxy Tab A9+, up to date (Android 14 + OneUI 6.1) with the latest version of both OpenCPN and OTCurrent (5.10.2 and 4.4.0). No one would complain about a bug with an out-of-date software, would they ?
Edit : the user, my father wanted to warmly thank you for making such a useful piece of software available for free. He currently discovers FOSS :)

Google Android does not like an app accessing data outside the app pathways, I think. Let me play with this.
