The reference models main purpose is to evaluate the impact of intervations, such as contact tracing, isolation etc.

Agents may require short-term memory of interaction
- I.e. their phones or interviews of who they interacted with in the last X days.
- This has significant memory implications in FLAME GPU 2
Interactions may need outputing to disk for post-processing
- This has signifcant runtime performance implications for traditional (PCIe) GPU implementations.
Other interventions could also be implemented (vaccination etc). These can become other issues.
