After having played with the consumables for a bit, it seems like the UX would be better bundle them into attack and this would significantly improve the gas efficiency of the game.
I don't think it's likely for someone to equip a beast with attack potions without attacking. Similarly, being able to attack with a set of revival potions is much for efficient (both for player time and gas). These effectively act like extra lifes for the attacking beast.
Extra lives should only be possible to use if the Beast is taking the Summit
