Toucan 3.1.8.1 on Linux Mint 20.1 #40

That's an interesting question, given that Toucan is a Windows application :) Could you describe in more detail, how do you run in exactly? Is it Wine or something along these lines? |
Yes, I run it using Wine, as the documentation describes.

alex-ter, do I need to provide you more information? |
@LenCpm, thanks, this is enough for now - it's just that I don't have much time for working on Toucan these days and as the readme says, it's in the "sustaining" mode (though I think I should additionally clarify that part a bit), so unless there are other folks who are willing to chime in, it may take a while for me to look at it. |
BTW, just as an additional note, as using Toucan via Wine is not a standard use case, there may be further problems. You may be better off by using e.g. FreeFileSync (if that's your use case for Toucan), which has a Linux-native version. |
Thanks for the FreeFileSync suggestion. My use for Toucan is for cross-platform (to the degree that it can be) encryption.

I see. In that case (continuing the substitute theme just a bit more) - this project may be a better one long-term: https://github.com/FiloSottile/age. |
Thanks for the suggestion. Encryption is the only thing I use Toucan for because it's so portable.

I thought no one actually uses that part of Toucan by now, to be honest :)

I am getting an error when I try to run the referenced version. I get:
