Issue Description

If you are in a mech as an AI, you are unable to hear emotes, and announcements also do not get displayed, nor do they make a noise.

What did you expect to happen?

For me to be able to hear announcements and emotes in the mech

What happened instead?

I couldn't hear emotes, despite them making noises, and announcements I made went out to the crew, but I couldn't see them.

Why is this bad/What are the consequences?

This is unintended behavior, and could cause the AI to miss important announcements

Steps to reproduce the issue.

  1. Be AI
  2. Get in a mech
  3. Make an announcement, try typing *boop
  4. Nothing happens, you can hear the *boop sound, but the emote doesn't show in chat.

When did the problem start happening?

Probably ever since the AI eye refactor PR

Can reproduce; however, testing at dac5700 indicates that this bug predates #25078.
