I confirm this issue is not an exploit. (Required)
BYOND Version
515.1646
Issue Description
If a player walks into a tile containing an electrified grille, they are shocked even if that direction is covered by an anchored reinforced directional window on the same tile.. Have seen it happen to humans, grays, and xenos now.
What did you expect to happen?
Nothing specific should happen; the directional window should prevent shocking as if it were a fulltile window.
What happened instead?
Player is shocked.
Why is this bad/What are the consequences?
Regression from previous behavior (few months ago ish) where this did not happen.
Also inconsistent with the much more common fulltile windows protecting against shock; the player naively expects any direction covered by anchored glass should not shock them.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
Place directional reinforced window on same tile as a powered wire node. Anchor it with screwdriver and crowbar. Place grille on wire node. Attempt to walk into window from the side outside the grille, without insuls.
When did the problem start happening?
2-4 weeks ago. Cannot remember exactly when it started to happen but Kerberos' ragecage was suddenly spicy on the outside as well as the inside.
Extra information
Only noticed in the wild on kerberos' aft-port maints ragecage, but likely occurs naturally in other ragecages. Players are unlikely to accidentally create their own bugged electrified grilles due to an overwhelming preference for fulltile windows.
Relevant log output/runtime error
