ArXiv metadata LaTeX issues

ArXiv metadata includes LaTeX representations for non-ASCII characters in all fields, including accents in author names, titles and abstracts, as well as scientific symbols, etc.

These should all be represented using the appropriate unicode characters. This was a complex problem until I saw https://github.com/ViktorQvarfordt/unicode-latex, which will allow converting all the LaTeX characters to their unicode equivalents.
