AI Section refers to a function where a single difficulty for a fumen is separated into different numbers of sections, notably 3 and 5. It may depend on song's length, but I'll drop my suggestion here for reference.

  • For songs that lasts ~0:40 to 2:10, it is separated into three (3) sections
  • For songs that lasts 2:30 and so on, it is separated into five (5) sections.

Given example above is the expected result after converting songs that has different duration.

I usually use 2 minutes as a reference lmao.

Would there be a benefit to be able to manually choose where the end of a given section lands?
Or are the charts currently in game just using a 3 / 5 section split based on song length ?

I haven't looked a ton at the ai section files before so i'll need further input :P

re: For charters/modders, they're up to select section using dropdown.

re: Only if it's not set? 2 minutes above can be 5.
