NordVPN Version: nordvpn-3.20.0-1.x86_64
Distro: Fedora 41 KDE x86_64
uname: Linux 6.13.5-200.fc41.x86_64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu Feb 27 15:07:31 UTC 2025 x86_64 GNU/Linux

As a user, I would like to start the nordvpnd service and nordvpn socket when the system is restarted ala systemctl enable nordvpn.service && systemctl enable nordvpn.socket; however I would like the tray icon to only appear after I have started the nordvpn desktop application (/usr/share/applications/nordvpn.desktop). Currently, I do not believe this is possible. Setting the tray to disabled (nordvpn set tray 0) will prevent the tray icon from ever appearing.

I believe the norduserd binary loads the system tray icon, ergo it might make sense for there to be a flag to prevent it (norduserd) from starting at boot. Implementation of said feature would mimic behavior in the Windows install of NordVPN.
