I’m a Kohya newbie - how to translate steps/ repeats? #39
-
I can't seem to find any way to set the amount of steps or repeats. Naming the dataset folder to 100_name does not seem to do anything. |

assuming you're talking about on a concept level setting a limit of how many images are used, or setting repeats for that concept, currently I do not believe there is such functionality. |

Steps is a total number of images divided by batch size. I did not find a way to change steps, but I honestly see no need to do so either, as this is no longer Kohya land. |

Indeed, for steps I don't see the need, but it's not available either way. |

It is unfortunate that a forced naming scheme for folders in a singular training tool has managed to grow such deep roots. "repeats" is not even something most people should have been using, it is for balancing datasets. |

Repeats are intended only for balancing unbalanced datasets. You are better off using more epochs, this is a Kohya misnomer.
If you want "repeats" you can just duplicate your concept (green +). Steps are however a product of images (minus bucketing drops) by epochs
