While LAS 9 is easier to use for a new user, it is less flexible and configurable.

  1. You cannot use your old XML to configure LAS 9. If the configuration process fails from the admin interface, the data set likely won't display in LAS 9. You'll have to check the logs and examine the CF compliance of the data set to see if you can diagnose what went wrong.
  2. You cannot use an init script. You will have to make your data ready via some other process external to LAS and configure the resulting data set into LAS after it has been transformed rather than transform it on-the-fly with an init script.
