Ideally

  1. Find on that already exists and provides what we need
  2. Persuade someone else to do it
  3. Do something ourselves? (Stand-alone or in web lab...)

Some repos - for inspiration

Physionet supports two file formats: "MIT" which has a binary data file, a header file, and an annotation file, and "EDF", which has all three in one file

It might be worth thinking about using this! Would also help electrophysiology as we could then set up a CINC/PhysioNet challenge with cellular modelling for once. Does anybody know the maintainers?

Abandoning this for now, as nothing seems available and doing it ourselves is too much work / out of scope. Instead will focus on using simple formats that allow annotation.
