Hi guys, I'm a supernoob, but I had an idea whilst playing another game, what do you the idea of having 'tutoring' in the game? By that I mean, I have one guy who's an LRM15 expert, which is quite useful, I'd like to have him 'tutor' another pilot so that they eventually learn that ability too, like, pair them up for 6 months, and as long as neither one dies or retires, then hey presto. I know that is absolutely not battletech, and no where near a priority, but I thought it might be fun! Imagine a whole lance of ML experts in the ML HBK :o

It's Battletech, it's just the RPG part. You could do it in MekHQ by making a note of it in the individual journals, then when your alloted time has passed, you make the change using GM mode.
What you might be interested in is setting up a kind of reminder system that makes a todo for the proper day to edit the personnel record to reflect the change.
The only part of MekHQ which might govern a 'tutoring' rule like that are the 'Against The Bot' rules. IF you were interested in proposing a training rule like that, it would be helpful to lay out a system with tables, die rolls, etc. The more complete your proposal, the better chance it has of being implemented.
