Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
On creation of a pull request several automated checks run to ensure that the PR is sound. Currently these checks consist of a code style check. However, it is also important to test that the application can actually be built successfully.

Describe the solution you'd like
Create a Github workflow to build the app on a pull request, to ensure that the app build actually works before merging.

A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.
