Images from outside of the vault are not shown in the preview and browser

Samples to Reproduce
Just add an image file while holding the ctrl key to link the file with full path.
An example:

Expected behavior
It should show the picture in slide preview pane and browser. which it does not show in any of them. It works without holding the ctrl but that way it copies the image to the vault

Same problem with images inside the vault. They are shown as expect using
![[myimage.png]]
but are not displayed if using the markdown syntax
![myimage](myimage.png)
