To do: clean up UX to make NEMS more approachable.

  • add tutorial page to docs
    • basic demo for loading pkl and fitting without xforms
    • xforms demo with demo.load_recording
    • compact xforms demo
    • population model
    • state-dependent PSTH-based model
  • new demo directory in top level of docs (make sure README points)
  • keep scripts, consider making functions there read command line commands(?)

I just added three files to the demo data folder on S3. They're all NAT data, with all 55 cells. So they can be used for single-unit models or pop models. Plus pup-dependent models. I renamed them from the confusing hash file names, and I think they would make sense to use in the demo code/notebooks.

TAR010c.NAT.fs100.ch18.tgz
TAR010c.NAT.fs100.ch18.pup.tgz
TAR010c.NAT.fs50.ch18.pup.tgz
