Crash on start when updating to F-Droid 7.7.9

Brief summary

Posting this here as it looks like a separate issue, multiple users already reported this on #1178
After updating via F-Droid to version 7.7.9 the following message is displayed as soon as the app is started:

A migration from 24 to 23 was required but not found. 
Please provide the necessary Migration Path via RoomDatabase.Builder.AddMigration(Migration...) or allow for destructive migrations via one of the RoomDatabase.Builder.fallbackToDestructiveMigration*methods.

This is followed by an almost immediate crash.

Steps to reproduce

1. Have app on 7.7.8 via F-Droid
2. Update to 7.7.9, also via F-Droid
3. Start the app

Note that Kotatsu Nightly N20240201 from APK on the phone doesn't have this issue
