vkCreateRenderPass2 crashes [resolved]

I have a MoltenVK vulkan 1.2 instance and after the swapchain was created sucessfully I get the following problem:
What could this be? The device is valid and this works on Windows/NVIDIA.

vkCreateRenderPass2 crashes with:

Do you have more info? A stack trace, perhaps, showing what's happening when the error is triggered?

Looks like it works with vkCreateRenderPass but then I cannot use a separate depth/stencil attachment. I only need one float32 depth buffer without a stencil.

Regarding the stack trace, I don't get anything deeper than that call crashing. What would it take to get a debug version of this setup? I use the lunarg SDK installed into /usr/local and link to the vulkan lib.

Often a stack track is logged to your console on a crash.

You can create a Debug version of MoltenVK by following the build instructions in the README.md document from the MoltenVK repository. Then either copy MoltenVK/Package/Debug/MoltenVK/dylib/macOS/libMoltenVK.dylib to /usr/local, or create a symlink in /usr/local to point to it.

Both vkGetDeviceProcAddr(m_device, "vkCreateRenderPass2");
and vkGetDeviceProcAddr(m_device, "vkCreateRenderPass2KHR");
return NULL

However vkGetDeviceProcAddr(m_device, "vkCreateRenderPass"); works.

What version of MoltenVK are you using? I'm 100% certain that VK_KHR_create_renderpass2 is supported, because I implemented it myself.

Solved.

Looks like the python installer script had failed to copy the libs from the most recent sdk.
I manually copied them into /usr/local/ and that made it work.
