Downloads are slow and sometimes just stop

I am trying to download Naval Artillery System from SpaceDock. Although my internet has a blazingly fast download speed of 380 Mbps, which is 47 megabytes per second. However, whenever I download any KSP mod from this site, I instead get an abysmal download speed of 15-80 kB/s.

What's the root cause of this site's download speeds being incredibly slow?

Is SpaceDock hosted on a single server only? If so, that's going to be bad news for people whose computers are positioned thousands of kilometers away from that server.

It was differently back when there was sponsoring. Speed shouldnt be impaced by distance only latency.

I recently got upgraded to 300 Mbps 🎉 and I'm seeing downloads alternate between 102 KB/s and 0 B/s:

This should be going to the traffic server's cache, without any Python involved. Maybe SpaceDock's network pipe is near maximum capacity? Or is it possible for the cache to thrash?

it does have 1gbit/s and that is never used.
In its hey days it was 300mbit/s average.

Is that still an issue? Might be if Downloads are not in the rev proxy cache.
See if it happes for top mods too.

yea.......Thats odd,especally Spacedock.info used to be fast in china mainland.
