Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
We need to add a splash screen to the GUI. Some thing we might need to add to it

  • MDANSE logo (which one?)
  • MDANSE major version number
  • STFC logo
  • ILL logo

what else do need?

I've created #359 for this enhancement which currently has a placeholder image for the splash screen until we come to a decision on the splash screen image.
