Issue to track the progress on the Roadmap item "The user provides a multi-fasta file, and choose the type of distribution"

  • count number of record in input fasta file
  • draw abundance from a few distributions
    • uniform (heh)
    • normal (well half-normal we don't like negative abundances)
    • exponential
    • log-normal (the contender for best distribution and default parameter)
    • 0-inflated log-normal (meaning that some genomes will be "missed" by the sequencing run)
  • store in abundance_dict
  • generate reads all the same
  • write tests for the 5 distributions
