Ravi was seeing an issue when running GAAS we could not figure out. GAAS seemed to be well doing non-sense, the aod_bkg was increasing to just non-sense numbers. But I think have traced it. The issue is that like many of these chemistry components there is an AMIP directory. Well the GAAS_GridComp_ExtData.yaml in the AMIP directory for GAAS Is just wrong. Look like was put there but never tested. Basically it needs to look like the file in the main GAAS directory as far as the options go. In terms of the naming definition and the fail_on_missing_file option. Oh way would be to just copy the file in the main directory into the AMIP directory and leave it at that. The gcm_run.j script already has to link stuff in.
