If a quest has a choice reward, a choice reward can be selected and claimed, but the "reward preview" doesn't update until you back out of a quest and go back into it. In short, the choice reward preview doesn't update client-side on click, only on page reload.

This causes a lot of confusion for players, thank you for taking a look!
