Having an odd issue with the plugin in Zotero 7- the citation counts pull in just great, can select API within the preferences, etc. However, when Citation counts are being pulled, I get a "Finished getting Crossref citation coutns. No DOI field exists on the item" error message in a popup with a red X at the bottom right of the Zotero window.

I've isolated the problem to the plugin by uninstalling and the issue was not present for newly imported item. The DOI field on the item in the Zotero right hand pane contains a valid DOI that can be searched online and pulls the correct article. All other functionality of the plugin is working correctly, it's just the pesky popup for every new item and every time I pull the citation count manually.

Same issue here. It works great, but then pumps out the error for every article
