I cannot take a Photo with FossifyCamera from other app if default OS camera is disabled #45

How did you install the app?

F-Droid / IzzyOnDroid

Steps to reproduce the bug

  • Deactivate default LineageOS camera app (Aperture)
  • Make sure Fossify Camera app has the correct permissions and is working
  • Run Fossify Contact app
  • Add a contact
  • Click on avatar to take a picture by intent
  • "No valid applications found" message shown

Expected behavior

Make this app the default Camera app (one way or another), so that intent.setAction(MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE) trigger the Fossify Camera activity.

Actual behavior

App not launch via intent

I also tested the same behavior from Conversations IM app.
