Calendar search sort #464
Comments
It automatically scrolls to the first future event matching the keyword, is that not the case for you? Example: If I search for "Valentine", the list automatically scrolls to the the next event on Feb 14, 2025, I don't have to scroll downwards from 1980.

In this search result do you have any future events? |
That's probably the reason. |
2nd February is already a past. Do you have anything in the future? |
This is the last In this case, nothing in future. Thanks |
To summarize, instead of adding sorting, we should just scroll down to the latest entry if there are no future events. It will be enough to cover the use-case described here, and adding full sorting will overcomplicate things. |
Sounds like a good idea. @Zafrkant would this be enough for your usecase? Or there could be a "scroll to bottom" button for this, similar to the one in Messages app. |
@naveensingh thank you for considering. Thank you in advance |
The UI has to be consistent for both cases when there are future events and when there aren't. If adding a button, there should be a button scrolling to events closest to the current date that would be useful in both cases. I'm against adding any sorting to search results. |
So basically what "Go to today" action button does but in search results. |
Yes, it would be great. Thanks. |

Feature description
Hello,
I want to thank developers for great contribution to the community.
I would like to kindly suggest feature to add soft option at search function.
When searching it is always sorting oldest events, and it is harder to find newest by scrolling down.
Thank you in advance.
Best Regards, Dušan
