Fully utilize the minimal installer feature

You've heared about it, but unsure about what it'll do? This tutorial will help you understand how it works, and how to correctly utlize it!

1. Download the drivers and make the minimal installer

  1. Use TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker to download the latest driver, if you already run the latest you must run the application with the --force-dl argument which will force a prompt telling you that you're outdated.

Note: if you don't have the minimal install feature enabled yet, you must go to %localappdata%\Hawaii_Beach\TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker,
open app.config with a text editor and set the value of Minimal install to true

2. Fully uninstall current drivers

  1. Download Display Driver Uninstaller
  2. Extract the software
  3. Run it, and ignore the warning message
  4. Select NVIDIA to the right, if needed
  5. Press on the button that says Clean and do NOT restart

3. Install new drivers

  1. Go to the folder where you saved the graphics drivers, and run setup.exe (do NOT run the long-named driver file!)

Now you should be clean from any 'bloatware' and bullshit that comes with the graphics drivers come with these days. If you're using a laptop then you should not use this feature as it doesn't install Optimus (which switches from the IGP to the GPU when running games)
