What criteria should apply when the set of metadata fields in B2Find is subject to extension? The metadata definition like it is at the moment is determined by the mappings we apply right now. However, adding communities might entail adding new fields.

Notes by Heiner : adding of new (only displayed UI) fields is not a big deal - just add a xpath rule to the mapfile and it should work ... another issue with new searchable facets : some CKAN implementation is to be done as well.
so at least the number of facets should be restricted (at the moment we have less the 10 and it should not exceed 15).
