Remove Java 8 Bridge

A java 8 bridge is used within the repo for an old version of the pdf plugin itext. The reason that is that the free license was declined for later versions that aren't tied to java 8. In any case, this is a lot of work to support an old plugin that should be modernized.

Options

• it looks like the developers of itext currently offer their plugin for open source projects under the AGPLv3 license. Worth a review of updating?
• Replace the old itext plugin with pdfbox. Apache 2.0 license, which is considerably more forgiving compared to AGPLv3
