The MemoryImageSource that backs the Waterfall display cannot render a full-size waterfall display image when the FFT bin size is very large and/or the frame rate is set high.

Investigate rendering the visible (zoomed?) waterfall display using paintComponent() methods versus using the animated memory image source.
