You may find several things that need to be resolved in order to have a true mac experience. Please use the following quirks & fixes section to fix remaining issues.
- If you are unable to boot to macOS you may need to adjust CPU spoof settings in the OpenCore config.plist file. See the following for examples of spoofs that may be needed. If your host computer CPU is not listed you should not spoof your CPU

CPU spoofing can also be used if your host computer is an AMD, Pentium, or other incompatible CPU
- You can enable HiDPI mode which adds more resolution options to the list of available display resolutions. (This will not have an impact until Graphics Accelleration is achieved or when additional resolutions are able to be passed to the macOS VM)
Enter the following command in terminal post-installation then reboot:
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist DisplayResolutionEnabled -bool true
- Without Graphics Acceleration macOS can be very slow and in some cases may appear to freeze. The scripts below will allow you to reduce animations that will slow down and freeze your computer. If Graphics Acceleration is achieved you will want to use the second script to re-enable all animations. (Credit Barrykn and johncaling40 for the scripts and other unknown contributors for the excellent work they have done to keep older macs and our One Mix Yoga 4 running as well as possible)
How to use: Open Terminal and type in chmod +x
and then drag and drop the script(s) below. Hit enter and enter your password if asked. After hitting enter drag and drop the scrip you would like to run and hit enter. If asked enter your password again and then reboot.
In addition to the scripts you can also 'Reduce Motion' & 'Reduce Transparency' to further speed things up. Go to 'System Preferences' > 'Accessibility' > 'Display' to make these additional changes.
